Desi numele lui Artaud nu e amintit, in teatrul lui George Astalos punerea in scena are un rol extrem de important, uneori montarea urmand a fi superioara textului. Although the name of Artaud is not mentioned, in the plays of George Astalos the performance is extremely important, staging being sometimes supposed to be superior to the text. Moreover, Astalos pleads for plays in which the action moves on as a series of flashes, without any apparent continuity, but having a visceral continuity, flashes that clash, complement each other and incessantly change sign, turning Proteus-like into one another.
